Product & Materials Sourcing
Aligning Walker International’s clients with reliable and experienced offshore assembly and manufacturing sources is of primary importance for a successful import program.
However, Walker’s manufacturer sourcing services go beyond those of qualifying the ‘final’ manufacturer of a client’s products.
Insuring the qualifications of the suppliers of parts, components and materials for the ‘final’ manufacturers is equally important.
Walker International’s manufacturers are only as good as the suppliers that provide them with raw materials and components.
If the materials suppliers for the manufacturer cannot meet the quality and production requirements of the ‘final’ manufacturer or those of Walker’s clients then the overall quality of the import process is impaired.
Qualifications such as production capacity, quality control, meeting material specifications of the client, proximity of the parts suppliers’ factories to the manufacturing or assembly facility and pricing of these raw materials and components are important to a successful global manufacturing project.
Walker’s factory due diligence goes beyond that of insuring the assembler or ‘final manufacturer’ of a product meets the requirements of Walker and it’s clients. Walker drills down into the product and materials sources for our manufactures in an effort to insure that all involved in the manufacturing and assembly process can meet our client’s requirements.
If the materials and parts suppliers for the final assembler do not have the quality control or production capacity to meet the demands of the final assembler and Walker’s clients, if the parts and materials sources do not share the same values as Walker, then the relationship will not meet Walker International’s standards.
Aligning our clients with qualified manufacturers and qualified materials sourcing factories supplying those manufacturers is a primary goal of Walker International.
